CADILLAC VISTIQ

Range, Charging, and Battery Life
Cadillac claims all Vistiq models will deliver around 300 miles of driving per charge. On a DC fast charging connection, the battery is said to be able to add about 80 miles of driving in just 10 minutes. On our highway fuel economy route, the Vistiq achieved a real-world range of 250 miles. We’ll also subject the Vistiq’s battery to our DC fast charging test and will update this story with real-world results.
EV Motor, Power, and Performance
All Vistiq models come with two electric motors that combine for 615 horsepower and provide all-wheel drive. Adaptive dampers are standard, and an air-spring suspension system is optional. The Vistiq is also available with an optional rear-wheel steering system which adds extra agility and makes the big SUV more maneuverable in tight spots and city driving. When we test-drove the Vistiq recently, we were impressed by its hushed cabin and compliant road manners. The Vistiq carries its weight well, but its steering is numb and devoid of character. For those who prefer a more engaged driving experience, the less expensive Luxury and Sport models come with a coil-sprung suspension and smaller wheels that make the Vistiq feel more nimble and responsive.
Overview
The 2026 Cadillac Vistiq serves as the mid-size three-row offering in the luxury marque's EV SUV lineup. The Vistiq is slightly larger than the outgoing gas-powered XT6 SUV, and its styling is sharp, drawing inspiration from the brand's other electric offerings. Under the floorboards is a variant of General Motors's Ultium battery; a pair of electric motors draw juice from the pack and deliver 615 horsepower and standard all-wheel drive. Cadillac says the Vistiq is good for about 300 miles per charge. Inside, the Vistiq’s cabin is well appointed; it can be outfitted with open-pore wood, and leather upholstery or recycled fabric trim, but the big, curved display screen on the dashboard is what brings the wow factor. Challengers include the Lucid Gravity and the Tesla Model X, but so far there are few three-row electric options for luxury buyers, and the Vistiq has the panache and the powertrain to be a compelling choice.
Powertrain
Front Motor: permanent-magnet synchronous AC
Rear Motor: permanent-magnet synchronous AC
Combined Power: 615 hp
Combined Torque: 649 lb-ft
Battery Pack: liquid-cooled lithium-ion, 102 kWh
Onboard Charger: 11.5 kW
Peak DC Fast-Charge Rate: 190 kW
Transmissions, F/R: direct-drive

Towing and Payload Capacity
The Vistiq is rated to tow up to 5000 pounds, which will make it handy for occasional trailering tasks. As our testing has shown, range is significantly decreased when pulling a heavy trailer.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
Luxury three-row SUVs are common, but there aren’t many that come with an electric powertrain such as the one powering the Vistiq. The Tesla Model X is similarly priced and offers a third row but the Caddy’s way back seat is far more accommodating. The Vistiq’s high-end interior design is punctuated by wood trim rendered in several different colors and patterns, as well as nickel-finished metal accents. There are also some eco-friendly options, including a fabric trim option made from recycled materials.
